Kathleen Whitehead, 82, passed away quietly and peacefully at home, surrounded by those she so loved, on September 1, 2019.


The beautiful memory of Kathleen’s giving and caring life will always remain and

comfort those who were touched by her loving heart . The world lost one more beautiful

light but heaven gained another star!  

Kathleen was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated proudly from

John W. Hallahan High School.  Kathleen spent her life in service to her family, friends and all those with whom she worked.


Kathleen loved her working years at Conrail and Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK)  

Kathleen always gave her all to ALL.


Kathleen was attentively cared for at home these past 8 years by a team of loving caregivers. Her daily needs and wishes were fulfilled by her dearly beloved cousin, Dot & Romeo and CNA’s Sunday and Patricia. Rose & Joe, Peggy & Mike, Pat & Mike and the Col’s rounded out the team! Dr. Gregory Kane and his associate Fortune deserve glowing accolades and much appreciation for their medical expertise, personal dedication and loving friendship to Kathleen! Special gratitude is given to Bonnie and St. Monica’s Elder Care Program.


Kathleen was predeceased by her parents Kathryn and Joseph McDonald.

She is survived by her sons Robert(Deborah) and Stephen Whitehead.

Grandmother of Shannon and Sean Ryan Whitehead.

Sister of Joseph (Barbara) McDonald.

Survived by nieces and nephews.


Kathleen’s funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Monica Church on

Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 am.  Interment will be private
