Robert Michael Post II passed away 12 December 2019. Mike, as his family refers to him, was born 27 February 1982 in Beaufort, South Carolina, to Dr. Robert and Dorothy Post. He attended high school at St. John's Northwest Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin. Mike joined the United States Air Force in 2001 and served until 2008 as an Avionics Specialist (Communications and Navigations) and as a flying crew chief. He also served in operation Enduring Freedom and operation Iraqi Freedom. After serving in the Air Force he became an Over-the-Road truck driver. He was a diehard Saints fan and wouldn't miss a game if he could help it. He loved being outdoors: fishing, duck hunting, being at the beach, or just being outside next to a fire enjoying spending time with his family. He loved making his famous chicken wings and playing video games with his son Jack. He loved his family fiercely and always took care of them. Mike is survived by his life partner/forever person Lindsey Post; son Robert Michael Post III (Jack), Huntsville, Alabama; mother Dorothy Peterson Post, Pensacola, Florida; brother Daniel Post, Amite, Louisiana; niece Jasmyne Post, Louisville, Kentucky; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: Robert M. Post, Captain DC/USN. Mike's remains will be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. A small, intimate family memorial will be held at a later date.
