Colleen Frances Moon

1990 - 2020

Colleen Frances Moon, age 30 passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado. She was born in Denver, Colorado on April 1, 1990. Colleen grew up like any other girl at that time; playing outside with her sister, Caity, and all of their friends. They danced to the Spice Girls and especially liked torturing her little brother, Chase.  As Colleen matured, everyone could see that she was anything but “any other girl”! She was adventurous and kind. It was no surprise that Colleen chose a profession helping others. After graduating from East Stroudsberg Univeristy with a masters degree in speech pathology, she worked at Kindred Hospital as a speech pathologist. Colleen lived to help others, and make their lives better through her work. She took great joy in what she did.

She loved going to the beach, and to the mountains, she loved the outdoors, and traveling. One person in particular she loved to travel with was her fiancé, Chase Foster. Chase and Colleen were to be married on September 26, 2020. They met 5 years ago, and they loved each other dearly. They lived each day to the fullest, and loved travel around the world. Their bond was unbreakable.

Colorado offered Colleen the active lifestyle that she loved but Sea Isle City, New Jersey was Colleen’s happy place. The entire family gathers every year in the summer and for the Polar Bear Plunge in the winter. Colleen loved being surrounded with everyone she loved, and who loved her.

Hiking, paddle boarding, snow boarding were some of her favorite activites. She even involved her dogs Bentley, Ivy and Zuna. They loved swimming back and forth between Colleen and Chase. She was a Flyers fan! She made sure that she was near a TV when the games were on.  She loved listening to all kinds of music such as Dave Mathews Band, Foo fighters, and Zac Brown Band. She loved saying "Beb" (Babe) to Chase while he said the same to her. Colleen is life, she enjoyed each day living the adventure. She loves her family, sisters, brothers, friends, her parents and especially her fiancé Chase. Her spirit is a bright light that will never go dim. Colleen is adventurous, smart, kind, compassionate, silly and fun. She leaves and enormous hole in the hearts of those who love her because she loved as much as she was loved. Her last gift to the world was her selfless act of organ donation, so that others will have a second chance at life. May those people be embodied with her bright spirit and love for all. She always chose the good in everyone and always spread her positive personality. Colleen was a beautiful soul.

She will be sadly missed by her mother and step father, Peggy (Glancey) & Harry Tregear; father, Daniel Moon; siblings, Caity (Moon) Bramanti , Taylor Tregear, Chase Fury, Shawn & Kevin Walsh, Dominic & Cameron Moon; grandparents, Margaret (the late Charles Dennis) Glancey, Barbara Keohane, Harry, Sr. & Jean Tregear and Vince & Sue Moon.

Colleen’s viewing is Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 9 – 10:15 am, followed by services at 10:30 am at St. Pius X, 220 S. Lawrence Rd., Broomall, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local pit bull rescue.

My words can’t express how I feel and how much I am thinking of Colleen’s parents, Chase, her family and friends. She touched so many people in her life! She had a huge heart, was a free spirit, and led a selfless life! She had so much life ahead of her and was so eager to spend it with Chase! I was lucky enough to work with Colleen and see her passion to help people daily. She not only helped them recover from numerous medical complexities, but also brought a smile to their faces while she did it. You couldn’t help but smile and laugh when in her presence. She was an advocate for so many people, always standing up for what was right. Colleen and I became close friends, as well. She was a friend everyone would hope to have in their lifetime. She will forever be an angel looking over us! Rest In Peace, you will never be forgotten!

~ Love, Sheena Boyce
