Ruth Ann Moore, (née Kelly) 102 of Nottingham, Pa went home to be with the Lord on 10/14/2020. Ruth is survived by her daughters Ruth & husband Leland Devine, of Nottingham, PA and Jamie & husband Charles Chipola, of Ridley Park, PA. 5 Grandchildren Wendy Smith (Theodore) of Nottingham, Leland W. Devine Jr. of Nottingham, Laura Dillenger (John) of Nottingham, Charles Chipolla, Jr. of Ridley Park and James Chipolla of Upper Darby, PA. 10 great grandchildren & 2 great -great grandchildren. Ruth was proceeded in death by her husband James E. Moore, Her parents Edward & Grace (nee VanEtten) Kelly, Sisters- Veronica (nee Kelly) McCuster, Grace (nee Kelly) Carpenter. Ruth was born on August 28,1918 in Philadelphia, PA at home to Edward & Grace Kelly. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Glenolden, PA. She married James E. Moore, in 1942 during WW2. During the war she worked at Sun Shipyard in Chester, PA. She was an accomplished bookkeeper. Ruth and her husband resided in Ridley Park before retiring to Nottingham in 1981. Ruth was a loving, caring Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and Aunt. She was a kind, gentle, and thoughtful friend who was loved by all who met her. She and her husband liked boating in their younger years and camping after James retired. She attended Mt. Vernon Christian Church in Kirkwood. She was a long-time member of the Oxford Senior Center where she shared her love of card games and bingo. She was a loyal attendee of the Monday Rising Sun McDonald’s Bingo Club (all proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore), and she enjoyed her monthly Redman’s Hall Bingo events. Ruth always looked forward to attending Oxford Lion’s Club social events. A funeral is scheduled for October 23,2020 at 1pm at Mount Vernon Church, 1 Lighthouse Dr., Kirkwood, PA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ruth’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Oxford Lion’s Club at P.O. Box 270, Oxford, PA 19363. The family would like to thank Penn Medicine Hospice and their compassionate staff for the amazing care she was given,

Aunt Ruth was one in a million! I know Ruth, Jamie and families will miss her dearly. I so enjoyed my visit before the pandemic. She was always loving and kind to me and I loved her so much! God bless you all!!

Dear Ruth and Lee we are so sorry for your loss. We were fortunate to be welcomed in your home and meet your Mother. What a wonderful women and she will be missed by so many. She is with her Lord now. Please accept our thoughts and prayers for you and your beautiful family.
