Margaret D. Taylor
May 18, 1946 - April 19, 2024
Margaret D. Taylor (nee Daugert), age 77, sadly passed away unexpectedly in her home on April 19, 2024. Kindhearted, dedicated, and hardworking, Marge,as she was fondly known, always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was born in Upper Darby to Margaret Mary and Emilian M Daugert and traveled extensively overseas with them before spending much of her teenage and early adult life in Avon, Connecticut with her loving sister Joan Ann Temple, and her family. She graduated from Avon High School in1965, but would set her roots down in Delaware County making her home in Upper Darby while diligently working with her husband Thomas to raise her daughter Laura and eventually care for her parents before their passing. Marge was dedicated to her family and also her career, keeping long hours at Haverford Community Hospital. Later, her career would shift when Haverford Community joined the Mercy Health System. She then began work in the health insurance business as a third-party liability specialist at Keystone Mercy Health Plan, which became AmeriHealth Caritas and where she retired from after 35 years of service in 2014.
Margaret was known for her compassionate nature, her generous and giving spirit, her love for animals, as well as the beach, and having a witty sense of humor. She was a faithful member of St. Alice-St Laurence Parrish for many years. Always ready to lend a helping hand, food or just to offer words of comfort to whoever needed it, she was a caring wife, loving mother, beloved sister, aunt and friend who touched so many lives near and far. She will be deeply missed.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband Thomas E. Taylor, daughter Laura (Steven) Morris, granddaughter Kaileigh, and sisters Joan Ann Temple and Amelia Lovell. She is predeceased by her grandson Caleb Morris.
