Alejandro Rivera Obituary

Alejandro Rivera, also known by many as "PeeWee” or “Alex,” unexpectedly began his end-of-life transition on November 26, 2023, passing at the age of 47. He was a resident of Fort Lauderdale and a longtime resident of Chester County, PA. He was preceded in death by his Father  Pablo C Rivera, brother Edwardo Rivera, and sister Ruby Elizabeth Rivera. He is survived by his 4 daughters Alexis (Jamie), Ailean (Leah), Jasmine (Zach), and Jalicia (Erik), along with 5 grandchildren, Estrella, Ivana, Marco, Ezekiel, and Easton, mother Earlena S Rivera,  as well as his 9 brothers and 5 sisters.

He was born on January 25, 1976, in West Chester, PA. From early on, he and his family would regularly venture back and forth between Chester County and Puerto Rico, a place he cherished. As an infant, he had a congenital foot defect that would give him a challenging start and a tough time throughout his life, but it never dampened his lively spirit. As a child, His family remembers him and his closest sibling, the late "Zooka" Rivera, fixing and tinkering with all the local kids' bikes in Coatesville, PA. This ignited a passion for auto repairs which eventually became one of the skills he was best known for. He started working at the age of 15 into adulthood holding long-term positions in Chester County at Southmill Mushroom, Kennetex, and Tastycake.

At any point in his life, No one who met PeeWee forgot his effortless humor and kindness. He had many loving titles: a son, brother, friend, father, and grandfather. He was known for his natural talent in cooking up a "feast." Family and friends recall his joy in feeding others, regardless of how much or how little food he had. This of many attributes showcased his nature to helping others. He will be remembered for his great storytelling abilities, which often resulted in belly-aching laughter. He found joy in lightening others' burdens whether it be helping with their cars, filling stomachs, or dancing goofily. Despite all that he did for others, he did not expect much in return; a simple "thank you" was often enough.

His final earthly home would be in Florida, a place where he could spend his days sitting on beaches and enjoying life's priceless gifts like sunrises and sunsets. In his final years, he made a point to frequently reach out to his daughters to express his love and pride in them. His daughters now reflect on how much his selfless love has impacted their lives.

He was also a spiritual man who found great comfort in reciting Bible scripture and his relationship with God, knowing that he would eventually be reunited with Him.

PeeWee was a shining example of a truly genuine man with a big heart. He will be deeply missed by friends and family but leaves behind countless memories of joy, kindness, and laughter.
