1936– 2021

     Andrew Vincent Lowry age 84 of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania died peacefully June 13, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Maura Lowry and is survived by his Loving wife of 45 years Nancy Lowry, Devoted son Andrew Lowry and his wife Jessica, grandsons Andrew, Jr. and Joseph, his siblings Teresa (Daniel) Flood, Ann Lowry, Jim (Pauline) Lowry, Patricia (Arthur) Jameson, sister in law Bridie Lowry and many adoring nieces and nephews both here in the United States and Ireland. Vince was also predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary (nee Gallagher) Lowry, brothers John and Martin (Bridie’s husband) and his nephew Vincent Lowry. He is also survived by his faithful furry friend Mikey the cat.

     Vince was born in Roscommon County, Ireland. Vince's first job when he came from Ireland was at Horn and Hardarts. Then he worked for many years at Acme Markets as a Grocery Clerk. His last job before retiring was at M&H Food Broker where he was a Sales and Marketing Representative. Vince's retirement job as a Crossing Guard at Lynn Blvd. and West Chester Pike was his best job. He loved meeting the children each day. In addition to Vince and his partner making sure that the children safely crossed West Chester Pike, they were seen many a day tying a child's shoe lace, zipping a coat, wiping a tear from an eye or looking at pictures of family pets.  

He was active in various Irish Societies where he shared his time and talents. He lived his faith as a 50 year member of the Men of Malvern, St John Neumann group and in the Hospitality Ministry at St. Dorothy’s

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday 9am at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where his Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. The Mass will be Live Streamed on St Dorothy' YouTube channel.
