Anna Marie Michener

1928 - 2023

Anna Marie Keenan Dougherty Michener, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on May 1, 2023. She will always be remembered for her joyful spirit, zest for life and her quick wit. 

Anna was the ninth of ten children of her parents Joseph Benedict and Helen “Nelly” Keenan. She enjoyed the life of an Army wife traveling the world alongside her husband, Lt. Colonel Charles A Dougherty. 

After her husband, Charles died, she later met and married Victor Michener. 

Anna is survived by her children, Helen Dougherty, Mary Duffey (Jim), John Dougherty (Pam), Joseph Dougherty, and Anna Marie Santora (Bill), her 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Charlie and Victor, her grandson Charles and her infant son Charles.

The viewing will be held Monday May 8, 2023 from 6pm-8pm at Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.

The funeral mass will be held Tuesday May 9, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Dorothy’s Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
