1928 - 2025

    Anne C. Gengenbach (nee Creighton), age 97, of Drexel Hill died peacefully November 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Warren Gengenbach and parents the late John and Sarah (nee McNamara) Creighton. She is survived by her caring brother John Creighton (late Mary Ann Toner Creighton), her loving children Joseph (Sue) and Mary Gengenbach. Also survived by her niece and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.

    Anne was born in St. Louis, MO. Her father was transferred to the Philadelphia area for his job in the 1930's... Anne met and married Joe Gengenbach. He sadly passed away from cancer in 1963. Anne raised her 2 children as a widow in Drexel Hill. She attended West Chester State College (now West Chester University) part time to get her teaching degree while working at School of the Holy Child in Drexel Hill. She taught at Holy Child for many years until deciding to follow a different path. She began a career at the FBI in the Philadelphia Office. She transferred out to the Newtown Square office and retired from there after 20 years of service. After retirement Anne volunteered at St. Bernadette Church where she helped with the collection. Anne was an advocate her entire life for just causes, honesty, fairness, the environment, and her Catholic faith.

   Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Friday, December 5, 2025 beginning at 9:00am at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00am. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery
