Anthony J. Borrelli, age 78, of Springfield died peacefully Saturday, November 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents the late Donato and Jennie A. (nee Rambo) Borrelli. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Joan (nee Ferraris) Borrelli, sons David (Dana) Borrelli, Adam (Beth) Borrelli and Matthew Borrelli; grandchildren Derek, Michael, Delaney, Brian, Danika, Danielle and Dax. Tony is also survived by his cousin Rosetta Rambo and sisters-in-law Doreen (the late Tom) Daransky and Lynn (James) Cross.
Tony was born in Philadelphia, graduated from St. Thomas Moore high school and attended West Chester University. He enlisted in the United States Army Reserve during the Vietnam War, and after being stationed at Fort Bragg, NC and Fort Eustis, VA for basic training, worked in various mechanical repair roles specializing in aircraft hydraulics, until his honorable discharge in 1974. After working as a security manager for Sears, he began a career in electrical sales which would last until his retirement.
An avid reader and student of history, he particularly enjoyed biographies. While a fan of baseball and football, he also enjoyed going with his wife to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania Ballet. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday, November 12, 2025, beginning at 10 am at the Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where words of remembrance will follow at 11am. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
