Anthony Reagoso Obituary

Anthony Reagoso, a resident of Drexel Hill/Upper Darby, tragically passed away on August 23rd. He was 23 years old. Anthony was a 2019 graduate of Upper Darby High School, where he served as the manager for the Upper Darby Royals football team.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Frank Staiber, and Anthony and Racheal Reagoso, along with his brothers, Benjamin, Nathan, Owen and Joel. He is also survived by his grandparents, James and Susan Burke, and Anthony and Vicky Reagoso. Additionally, Anthony is survived by numerous aunts and uncles who cared for and loved him dearly, as well as many cousins who will greatly miss him.

Born in 2000 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Anthony was a fighter from the start. He was born with advanced chronic kidney disease and, in his early years, underwent many surgeries and hospital stays. Throughout his life, Anthony faced each challenge with remarkable bravery and never once complained about the pain or difficulties he encountered. He met every obstacle head-on while maintaining his amazing sense of humor.

Anthony loved spending time at the beach, where he enjoyed late-night fireside chats, fishing, and being first mate on Myott. He also enjoyed attending comedy shows and concerts with his family, especially to see his favorite band Green Day. Anthony loved riding roller coasters, and traveling to Disney and Universal Studios. Halloween was one of Anthony’s favorite times of the year, where he delighted in horror movies and creating his own costumes. His hobbies included playing the guitar, cooking, watching WWE, and playing video games. He also cherished his dog, Reginald, and his cats. Of all the things Anthony loved, spending time with his family was his favorite. He was fluent in sarcasm and loved “light-hearted teasing.”

For 23 years, Anthony was the epitome of strength, courage, and resilience. He was a role model and an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Anthony leaves an enormous hole in our hearts and lives, but through his example, he has shown us the strength and perseverance to endure the pain and keep fighting, just as he did.
