Bonnie Barrett Obituary

BONNIE C. BARRETT

During her 56 years on this earth, Bonnie Catherine Barrett (Bonnie B) lived coast to coast and in between. She was on the constant hunt for new adventures and for friends not yet met. She cherished every single person she connected with, and made sure they knew it, and loved to bring people together and encourage adventures of our own. Bonnie had a heart of gold and endless creativity.

As a 1993 graduate of Moore College of Art & Design, Bonnie was a lifelong artist and graphic designer. She stayed in touch with her Moore Gals and took great pride in her alma mater. Creativity was central to her life, and she was constantly expressing herself with flair, beauty, and whimsy.

Another way Bonnie connected with people was through Camp Nejeda, a camp for children with type 1 diabetes, where she was first a camper then counselor and stayed in lifelong touch with the people she met there.

Bonnie led an authentic life with dignity and unmatched strength, marching to the beat of her own drummer and always looking for silliness and taking pleasure in simple joys. As a daughter, sister, and friend, she will be missed beyond words by an unmeasurable number of people, and if that is not a sign of a life well lived, we don't know what is.

Bonnie was devoted to raising funds for other children to attend Camp Nejeda so they could have access to the same environment of support and friendships that she cherished throughout her life. Here is info Camp Nejeda provided to make donations in her memory.
