Bridget Subers Obituary

Bridget Marie (Huston) Subers of Nottingham, PA passed away surrounded by family on December 18th, 2025. Bridget was born April 27th, 1963 at Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.  She was the beloved daughter of Daniel and Helen Huston. She studied Construction Technology out of high school.  While working as a draft woman at Gillian and Hartman, she met her husband, Walter J. Subers Sr., of over 40 years.  This led to her life vocation of raising her five children.  All that know Bridget know of her unconditional love for her children.

Bridget is survived by her husband, Walter J. Subers Sr., her five children, Walter J. Subers Jr (Ashley H. Subers), Danielle H. Subers (Carrie R. Stare), Patrick T. Subers (Jennifer K. Subers), Brittany E. Subers (Christopher R. Macchi), Nicholas J. Subers (Tiffany A. Subers), and her eight grandchildren.  Bridget’s children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Bridget was preceded in death by her father Daniel P. Huston, mother Helen F. Huston, brother Daniel P. Huston Jr., and sister Theresa M. Daley.

Bridget was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.  She created an inviting home where all that entered felt the love she had for her family.  Bridget’s deep faith helped guide her throughout her life and was the foundation of her family.  She was known for her selfless and giving heart.  She was always there to support friends, family, and anyone in need. Bridget had a laugh that could fill a room and a profound sense of humor.  She had the gentlest presence and built a life with her husband that anyone would be proud of.

Bridget enjoyed the beauty of nature.  She loved to spend time at the beach watching the waves.  She enjoyed looking at her property and watching the Canadian geese fly onto the ponds.  Bridget also loved her ducks and watching them explore the property.

Philadelphia sports were a major part of her youth.  She instilled a love of sports within her children, and this led to a lifetime of sporting events.   Bridget attended countless football, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, and softball games.  Bridget was each child’s number one fan.  She also loved a wide range of music.  Bridget and her children grew fond of 90’s alternative rock and 2000’s country music and this was something they would bond over.

Being a grandmother brought Bridget endless joy.  She had 8 grandchildren and loved spending time with them.  Bridget was caring and nurturing.  She was always there to support her grandchildren and offer loving advice
