Charles J. Dougherty passed away after bravely battling his way through many illnesses with grace and poise on December 13, 2023, at the age of 83. Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen T. Dougherty; children Kathy (Nick) Meloni and Charles J. Dougherty. Also survived by two grandchildren Nicholas and Anthony Meloni; siblings Andrew (Becky) Dougherty and Anne Dougherty as well as many nieces and nephews. Charles is predeceased by his parents John and Anne Dougherty; siblings Jack Dougherty, Peggy McCabe, and Thomas Dougherty.

Charles proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. After graduating from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, Charles spent his career as a Buyer for several diverse companies, the last being Robert Bruce. In later life he was a bartender. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation 9:30 AM Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, where his Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 AM.
