Charles E. Heinemann age 87, formerly of Havertown most recently of West Chester, died peacefully, September 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Bonsall) Heinemann, grandsons Matthew Taggart and Christian Maccarone and his sister Helen Ballantine. He is survived by his longtime companion of 20 years Joanne Manieri, his children Anne M. (Mark G.) Taggart, Catherine Heinemann, Michael “Mike” (Lisa) Heinemann, Billy Heinemann and Helen (Jenny) Heinemann, grandchildren Andrew Taggart, Mariel (Brian) Quindlen, Julia Maccarone, Patrick Heinemann, great grandson Adam and sister Margaret Heinemann. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends
Duke was born and raised in Philadelphia. He was a man of many talents who found his niche as an Automotive Mechanic for over 30 years. He was the owner operator of Heinemann’s Service Station located on Burmont Road in Drexel Hill. He enjoyed many pastimes but cherished his time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 9am Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where his Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Inurnment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Duke’s memory to the American Cancer Society or NAMI would be appreciated .
