Charles Malandra Obituary

 Charles J. Malandra

1944 – 2023

Charles J. Malandra  age 78, died peacefully March 22, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents the late Charles and Jea (nee D’Orazio) Malandra and sister the late Barbara Malandra. He is survived by his brother John Malandra, nephew William (Chezy) Chesboro and many first cousins.

Charles was born in South Philly. The family moved to Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania in  1956 when Charles was 12. His love for music and working in the industry opened doors and offered countless memories with celebrities throughout the entertainment field from Jerry Blavat to Elvis Presley. He was also a regular on Bandstand in Philadelphia. Along with music, Charles loved fishing, clamming and crabbing at LBI, NJ.

Charles was a member of St. Dorothy Parish in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Later in life he found comfort in attending Christ Lutheran Community Church which embraced him with love and assistance. Charles wasn’t a bragger but if you asked him if he’d ever met a ‘certain’  celebrity he would tell you a true story. We will dearly miss him along with his remarkable narratives of his life encounters.
