Concetta M. Ferri
1928 - 2026
Concetta Mary Ferri (Connie), 98, of Drexel Hill, PA. passed away on July 13, 2026 while in the care of the excellent staff and Hospice team at Fair Acres. Concetta is preceded in death by her parents John and Violet (Castellente) Ferri; her brothers John, Arnold, Victor, Henry, Daniel and Anthony; and her sisters Rita (Murphy) and Anne Marie (Simms).
Concetta was born in Philadelphia and attended a vocational school. She worked as a furrier her entire adult life at several different shops, however, she spent many years working for Stupp Furs and fully retired at the age of 93. While working for Stupp Furs, Concetta started Universal Monogram in Upper Darby/Drexel Hill with her brother Anthony. Her brother Victor joined the team along with Concetta’s nephews Tommy and Michael Simms and her niece Susan Campbell.
Concetta was devoted to her family and God. She loved baking and spent many hours teaching her nieces and her great nieces how to make homemade pasta and numerous cookies and pies. Concetta was a gifted seamstress and taught her nieces and great nieces how to sew. She made many prom gowns, work clothes, Halloween costumes, a wedding gown for her niece and christening gowns for the family.
Concetta is survived by her nieces and nephews: Thomas Simms, Linda (Rob) Callahan, Susan (Tim) Campbell, Michael Simms, Mary Mongelluzzo, Hank Ferri (Nancy), and John Ferri (Roseanne); sixteen great nieces and nephews and eight great, great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday, July 20, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM at Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 where her Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Internment Holy Cross Cemetery.
