1936 – 2021
Constance J. McKenzie “Connie” (nee Bradley), age 84, died peacefully August 30, 2021. Connie was predeceased by her husband Martin F. McKenzie and brothers James Bradley and Richard Bradley. She is survived by her sister Marylee Conallen, brother John “Jack” Bradley and her stepchildren Marty, Matt and Meg. She is also survived by her step grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Connie was born in Philadelphia and was a longtime resident of Drexel Hill before moving to Maris Grove in Glen Mills. From 1956-1976 Connie was Sr. Regina Coronata, IHM and taught at several schools in the Diocese of Philadelphia. Connie earned a degree from Immaculata College and later worked administratively at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning many accolades along the way. She and Marty were married 28 years and were active members of St. Dorothy’s Parish. After moving to Maris Grove she enjoyed new friends and activities joining St Thomas the Apostle Parish. Connie practiced her faith with a gentle kindness and compassion in many ways conducting retreats and serving many charities. Her greatest love was giving of her time and energy to anyone who needed her help and heartfelt generosity.
Connie’s beloved dogs, Missy, Tinker, Molly and Maggie filled her days with joy. Connie found her happy place at her beach house in North Wildwood. Throughout her life she treasured simple pleasures like a glass of chardonnay, spending time with family, neighbors, friends, and her doggies.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Saturday (September 4, 2021) 9-10:15am at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026, where her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Morris Animal Rescue, 1242 Lombard Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19147 would be appreciated.
