Daniel Paul Huston, 84, was born on January 12, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, and passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025. A dedicated father and husband, Dan was married to his beloved wife, Helen, for over 50 years. Together, they raised three children and were blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories for his family.
Dan was a hardworking man, spending his career with the Philadelphia Newspaper and Magazine Inc. He also served as Vice President of the Mailer’s Union, demonstrating his commitment to his profession and colleagues.
In his free time, Dan enjoyed watching C-SPAN and news networks, laughing along to Seinfeld and King of Queens, and, in his earlier years, clipping coupons and hunting for the best deals—something he took great pride in. He had a sweet tooth for cakes, brownies, and cookies, even though he knew he shouldn’t indulge.
Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen, his son, Daniel, and his daughter, Theresa. He is survived by his loving daughter, Bridget Subers, and son-in-law, Walter Subers, as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored. A devoted family man, he was always there to listen, talk, and offer his quiet wisdom.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rest in peace, Dan.
