Doris Rowan Falin

FALIN - Doris Rowan, 90, died on March 15, 2025, of Glen Mills, formerly of Philadelphia, Havertown, Wilmington, DE and Drexel Hill.  Survived by her husband of 66 years, Thomas A., also survived by three children: Mary'an (Robert) Elliott, Kathleen (Edward) Casper and Thomas A. Falin Jr, as well as her daughter-in-law Terri Falin, her five grandchildren Lauren (Andrew) Lakebrink, Christine (Patrick) Pastore, Kelly (John) Belfie, Scott Falin and Taylor (Michael) Brooks and her five great-grandchildren Keene, Reed, Amalia, Lilly and Ava.  She was predeceased by her son John Y. Falin, grandson John T. Casper, sister Elfrieda Bernetich and brother William Rowan.  

Graduate of John Bartram High School and Drexel on a full academic scholarship where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha.  Employed as Executive Secretary at I-T-E before birth of children and taught part-time at what is now Peirce College. When younger, enjoyed volunteering, foreign and domestic travel, attending theater, enjoying big band music dancing, vacationing in Cape May, and supporting offspring's academic, sports and musical activities.  Faith and family were most important in her life.  Her motto was "Live simply so others may simply live."

Doris was, is, and always will be beloved and cherished beyond measure by her family.

At Doris' request funeral and burial in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery were private, attended by only immediate family.  If so desired, contributions in Doris' memory may be made to your favorite charity.
