Eileen F. McGovern

1944 – 2021

     Eileen F. McGovern (nee Martin) age 77, A longtime resident of Drexel Hill, died December 1, 2021. Eileen was predeceased by her son Daniel and sister Patricia Sgro and is survived by her children Patricia (Ray) Coacher, Blythe (James) Leitz, Shaun (Gregory Otis) McGovern and Brian (Michelle) McGovern. She was also survived by 13 grandchildren, siblings Geraldine Pettine, Kathleen McCauley, Raymond (Charlene) Martin and many other loving family and friends.

   Eileen was retired from Conrail where she worked as a Systems Analyst.  She loved the Jersey Shore, talking gushingly about her family, decorating for the holidays, and a nice sip of her cream sherry. She will be remembered as having a kind heart, a warm smile, and a determined spirit. 

     Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday 9-10:15am at Ruffenach Funeral Home , 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026. Her Funeral Mass will follow at  10:30 am at St. Dorothy’s Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
