Elizabeth Petullo
“Nancy”
1933 – 2026
Elizabeth “Nancy” Petullo age 93, of Springfield, died peacefully Tuesday July 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Petullo, her parents the late Michael and Mary (nee Early) Harkins, siblings Joseph Harkins, Jack Harkins, Ed Harkins, Marie Harris, and Francis Harkins and her best friend Geraldine Fasy. She is survived by her loving daughters Joan (Nick) Petullo and Teri (Dave) Davis, grandchildren Gary, Brittany, Kelly, Alyssa, and Matt. Also survived by her great grandson Arlo.
Nancy was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia and graduated from Little Flower High School. She later married the love of her life, Joseph Petullo, and settled in Glenolden, where they raised their two daughters. A natural-born caretaker, Nancy, poured her heart into her family. She looked after her mother and father with boundless devotion in their later years and played an unforgettable role in raising all her grandchildren. Her deep faith was the anchor of her life, guiding her many years as a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Collingdale. While Nancy was known for her kind and gentle spirit, she also possessed a wonderfully feisty side. She was never one to shy away from a lively debate, and she was a true crime enthusiast long before it was popular. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: her “stories,” a hot cup of coffee, a dark chocolate Milky Way, crafting and decorating her home. She was a passionate Eagles fan who never missed a game. She will always be lovingly remembered by her family as “Fancy Nancy".
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Tuesday, July 28, 2026, beginning at 9am at St. Francis of Assisi Church 136 Saxer Ave, Springfield, PA 19064 where her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery
