Frances Therese Gill-Appiott

Frances Therese Gill-Appiott, “Fran” Age 74  of Wilmington Delaware and formerly of Drexel Hill, PA died peacefully July 30, 2026. Frances was born in Philadelphia and raised in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania before moving to Wilmington, Delaware. She also resided in Avalon, New Jersey and Port Charlotte, Florida. She worked as an RN, MSN and CPNP. She began her career at Misericordia Mercy Hospital pediatric oncology and Emergency Room, Paoli Emergency Room, CHOP Emergency Room/Surgery finishing her career at Nemours Hospital for Children Trauma  after 25 years. Frances enjoyed spending time with family and her two doggies, Zumba classes, her Beach Time, reading novels and was an avid Phillies Phan!

She is survived by her beloved husband Lawrence “Larry” Appiott, daughter Jill Esposito, sister Nancy Fenstemaker and niece Anne (Nicholas) Catanoso. She was predeceased by her parents Francis and Ann (nee Sullivan) Gill. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Fran’s viewing 8:30-10:15am Friday, August 7, 2026 at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026, where her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am.

Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery
