Francis Elliott

July 28, 1966 - March 7, 2025

Francis Elliott, age 58, of Paoli, PA died peacefully March 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph and brothers Joe, Pat and Mike He is survived by his mother, Alyce, sister Erin and brother Kerry. Francis is also survived by his loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. 

He was born in Darby, Pa at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. He grew up in Drexel Hill and attended St. Dorothy's where he made many lifelong friends who stayed with him until his passing. As the middle child he followed the examples of his older brothers while also leading the way for his younger siblings. At St. Dot's he played football and basketball, excelling in football. He learned many lessons in the classroom and on the athletic fields.

He continued playing football at Cardinal O'Hara High School where he earned accolades and played in the Hero Bowl following his senior year. During these years he met many more friends and also excelled in the classroom though he never brought home a textbook and was known to fall asleep during class, likely caused by watching Late night with David Letterman.

He went on to study Accounting and play football at Temple University until his knees betrayed him following his sophomore season. Following college he became a bartender which suited his gregarious personality and served him and his patrons well. He also spent many years in the banking industry as a teller and in data processing. Fran was an avid Philly sports fan including college football teams Temple and Penn State. He did daily crossword puzzles and the New York Times on Sundays which kept his mind sharp for his daily Jeopardy watching. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends from checking out new restaurants and going to concerts. Fran endured many medical issues and pain in the latter part of life but kept a positive attitude through it all.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, March 14, 2025 beginning at 10:30am at Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 where his service will begin at 12:30pm.
