GAETANA GONDEK (nee Carbonaro)

Age 97, on September 16,  2023; of Media and formerly of Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia on February 15, 1926. Daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Melillo) Carbonaro. Loving wife of the late Joseph Gondek; predeceased by brother Salvatore Carbonaro, sisters Nancy Sbraccia and Livia Ruggeri. Survived by children Victoria (John) Starger, Joanna (Rich) Swiacki, Rosemary DeRitis (the late Michael), and Joseph Gondek; grandchildren Nicole, Craig, Brett, Stephanie, Michael, and Lindsey; great grandchildren Emma, Owen, Alex, Clara, Penny, Elliot, Nicolas, Paul, and James; also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 9:45-10:45 AM, Notre Dame De Lourdes Church, 950 Michigan Avenue (at Fairview Rd.), Swarthemore, PA. Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to The National Shrine of St. John Neumann, 1019 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
