Helen McIntyre

Helen McIntyre (nee Semanchuk) passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 99. She was the daughter of the late
Michael Semanchuk and the late Victoria Drozd. Helen was the youngest of three children and held her brother,
Harry, and her sister, Stephanie, in high regard. She was born and raised in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia.
Helen was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who offered support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A
friend to many, she is leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She was predeceased by her husband,
Thomas J. McIntyre and is survived by her daughter Ellen Stefanosky (William), son Michael McIntyre (Diane),
her beloved grandchildren Krysta Stefanosky, Andrew Stefanosky (Meghan), Michael Stefanosky and Devlin
McIntyre, and extended family who felt her warmth and generosity over many years and generations.
Helen enjoyed the quiet solitude of a good book but rejoiced in the busyness and excitement of large family
gatherings. She indulged in a daily cup of hot coffee, a glass of wine and a serving of coffee ice cream. Her sweet
tooth was well known to her family. Helen was a proud Philadelphian and was proud of her Polish heritage. She
travelled extensively before marriage with her beloved travel companions Rose and Franny. She lived a long, full
life surrounded by loved.

Interment is private at the Convenience of the family
