Jean C. (Kosbau) Fleshman

Jean Carolyn (Kosbau) Fleshman passed away on May 18, 2024. 
‘Ma’ (as she preferred) wore many hats – daughter, twin sister, nurse. wife; mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, neighbor, friend and caregiver to many.
Ma studied Nursing at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, she worked as a maternity registered nurse for Prince Georges Hospital for 30+ years, she enjoyed comforting mothers and helped to bring many children into the world. Jean’s husband of 50 years, Bill, worked in the computer industry and was a proud fireman and Fire Chief for the local fire department, he passed in 2006.  
Born in Waukon, Iowa to Clarence and Hilda Kosbau on July 9, 1935; Ma shares a birthday with her twin sister Joanne.  After nursing school, Ma married in 1956 to William J. Fleshman, Bill and Jean eventually settled in Beltsville, MD raising three children – Joe, Lori and Lisa.
Jean is survived by her sister, Joanne Selma (Kosbau) Berg of   Rochester, MN; two of three children -William ‘Joe” Joseph Fleshman, Jr (Lisa Kleinbach) of Punta Gorda, FL , Lori Sue Fleshman Wells (passed in 2008) ; and Lisa Marie Fleshman Sheahan Trimble of Rising Sun, MD (Robert Trimble); Six {6} grandchildren – Christy and Joseph Fleshman (twins), Kevin Ryan Wells and Kyle Lucas Wells, Jonathan Tyler Sheahan (Elizabeth), and Erin  Elizabeth Sheahan; there is one greatgrandchild Reilynn Jean Smith (Erin’s daughter) .

Burial and memorial services will be private.
