Jean Martin Obituary

Jean Blevins Martin (67) of Little Britain Township, PA passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 26, 2022.  She was born to Alma Hall Blevins on August 20,1954 in West Grove, PA and spent most of her life in Chester County.
 
Jean was a 1972 graduate of Avon Grove High School; she then worked at Chatham Acres. In 2016, Jean retired from her position as the Food Service Manager at Kendal at Longwood after 37 years of dedicated service.
 
Jean married James Martin on June 16, 2000. A loving wife, sister, and aunt, she was a NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed family camping trips to Dover Downs. “Aunt Jean” loved baking Christmas cookies with her niece, Michelle, and listening to Elvis.
 
Jean was preceded in death by her mother and survived by her husband (Jim), four sisters and one brother: Linda Miller of Tennesee; Bill Blevins (Joan) of Roanoke, VA; Donna Blevins of West Grove; Gayle Moore (Gary Latham) of Nottingham; Robin Greer (Mike) of West Grove.  Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews loved and were adored by “Jeanie.”
 
Visitation will be Thursday, June 30 from 6-8pm and Friday, July 1 from 10-11am at the Ruffenach Funeral Home in Oxford, PA.  Funeral services will be at Ruffenach on Friday, July 1 at 11am with interment following at the Union Cemetery of Fremont in Nottingham, PA.
