John J.”Coke” Peluchette Jr. May 14,2022. Born in Moundsville, West Virginia on November 13, 1935 to John J. Peluchette Sr and Mildred Antolic Peluchette. He grew up in Bairdford, Pa a suburb of Pittsburgh. He was drafted into the Army in 1959 where he served for 2 years. After being discharged, he returned home and became reacquainted with Loretta Cushman, whom he had known since childhood. They were married for 32 years and together had 6 daughters, 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was employed by the Department of Defense for 30 years, stationed mostly at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1993. After Loretta passed away, he married Rose Warner, née Vinci in 1997. In retirement John enjoyed working in his yard, repairing anything that he found broken, often giving the fixed items to someone in need. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and above all else, spending time with his grandchildren. He was a school crossing guard for Oxford Borough for 9 years and loved playing Santa for the neighborhood children. Aside from his children and grandchildren, John was most proud of becoming a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, an honor he cherished.
Aside from his wife of 25 years, Rose, John is survived by his children, Stephanie Cappabianca, Nancy (Mark) Spier, Debby(Tony) DeLuca, Lori(Perry) Iaquinto, Amy(Robert) Kearney, Francie(Craig) Faragalli. His grandchildren Franco, Ashley, Matthew, Zachary, Danielle, Anthony, Perry, John, Noah, Joshua, Peyton, Craig, Nadia, Stephen, Sabrina, Christian, Austin, and Gianni. His great grandchildren Franco, Luca, Deacon, Gianna and Nicholas. He is also survived by his sister Constance Schwab of Russellton, Pa, many nieces and nephews and his step children Edward(Cheryl) O’Donnell and Maureen O’Donnell.
John is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Loretta, née Cushman, his parents, 7 sisters, Beatrice, Lois, Shirley, Audrey, Janet, Karen and Judy and 1 brother, Laverne (Peanuts).
A visitation will be held on Friday May 20, 2022 from 9:30am till 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church 203 Church Road Oxford, PA 19363 where his Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00. Internment will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield after the Mass.
