Joseph J. Bruno of Drexel Hill died peacefully March 7, 2023 at the age of 99. He was predeceased by his wife Mary M. (nee Watson) Bruno and daughter Mary E. (John F., Jr.) Kush. He is survived by two sons Michael (Vanessa) Bruno and Joseph Bruno. Also survived by his sister, Sr. John Dolores IHM, grandchildren Stephen M. Bruno, John F. Kush III, Joseph J. (Joanne) Kush, Jennifer (Tom) Long, Julie (Tom) Kapusta, Joseph Bruno, Vincent (Katie) Bruno, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Joseph was born in Philadelphia and a graduate of West Catholic High School. After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps during WWII he began his career as a Photo Engraver for the Beck Printing Company. He was a longtime member of St. Dorothy Parish in Drexel Hill and enjoyed participating in their bowling league as well as many other parish activities.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 9-10:15am Saturday, March 11, 2023, at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where his Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated .
