Joseph H. Scales, Jr.

     Joseph H. Scales Jr. died unexpectedly March 13, 2022, at the age of 60. He was predeceased by his brother James R. Scales, Sr. and is survived by his parents Joseph H. and Janet F. (nee Mullen) Scales, sisters Susan (John) Morgera, Eileen (Mark) Zacckey, and brother Michael Scales. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

     Joe was an avid boxing fan.  He started boxing in his youth and was a long-time member of the Upper Darby boxing gym.  In 2015, he was inducted into the Upper Darby Boxing Hall of Fame.  Joe also formed many friendships through his participation in AA.  He was especially known for his kindness, and acceptance of all people.  

     Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday morning 9:30-11:30 am at Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026.  His Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 pm, at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Rd., Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
