1963 – 2026

   Judith J. Althouse (nee Kivlin) age 62, of Drexel Hill, died peacefully, June 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband Scott Althouse, Sr., children Scott Althouse II, Eva Althouse, Stephanie (Jesenia) Althouse, and Erica (Matthew) O’Sullivan, grandchildren Hayley, Kylie, Scott III, Jaxon, and Vienna. She is also survived by her siblings Elizabeth-Tootsie (Joseph) Seefeldt and Evamarie (Thomas) Kelly and her sister-in-law Theresa Kivlin. She was predeceased by her mother the late Eva Kivlin(nee Salter) and brothers Jimmy (Mary) Kivlin and John Kivlin.

Judi was born in Southwest Philadelphia before moving to Delaware County, where she spent the remainder of her life devoted to the people she loved. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she always placed the needs of others before her own. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments, milestones, and everyday lives. Nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her family, creating memories, and surrounding those she loved with unwavering support and affection.

Judi had an extraordinary gift for making people feel loved. She was known for her generosity, kindness, and selflessness, often giving without hesitation and expecting nothing in return. She would gladly give the shirt off her back to someone in need and never turned away a person who needed help, comfort, or a place to belong.

One of Judi's greatest joys was finding the perfect gift for someone she loved. Whether it was a birthday, holiday, milestone, or just because, she delighted in making every occasion feel special and memorable. She found happiness in seeing others smile and was happiest when she was bringing joy to those around her.

Judi will also be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. She had a quick wit, a contagious laugh, and an ability to bring lightness to even the most difficult moments. Her laughter, warmth, and loving spirit filled every room she entered.

Above all else, Judi's greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely. Her family was her proudest accomplishment, and the countless lives she touched through her generosity, compassion, humor, and unwavering devotion will forever carry her memory forward.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, June 13, 2026 beginning at 9:30am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N Providence Road, Media. PA 19063 where her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.

In keeping with Judi's vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to those around her, family and friends are invited to wear colorful attire to her services in celebration of her life. While black is certainly welcome, bright colors that reflect Judi's warmth, kindness, and love for others are encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family's memorial fund established in Judi's honor to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
