Kenneth Kovack Obituary

Kenneth G. Kovack

1962 - 2026

Kenneth George Kovack passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 64.

Ken was born and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. He moved to Chester County in 1988 with his parents, George and Dolores Kovack, and his beloved wife, Ida. Ken worked for years in the car sales industry, most recently at Faulkner Buick GMC.

Ken loved the Philadelphia sports teams, especially his Eagles and Phillies. He could frequently be found at his home away from home, Duffers Tavern, watching the games and drinking a cold beer. If he wasn’t at Duffers, he was with his friends at Casey’s, where he had his own back pillow that they kept there just for him. Ken spent many a night on a bar stool, chatting away with the staff and his friends about anything and everything. Always quick with a joke and a smile, Ken was known for his generous heart and his willingness to help others in any way he could.

Ken also loved his family. He was married to the love of his life, Ida, for 42 years before she preceded him in death. We can all take comfort in knowing they are together again in Heaven. Ken is also survived by his sisters, Cheryl Weiss (Dennis) and Donna Coley (Jimmy), his niece, Cheryl Reilly (Brendan) and his great niece and nephew, Emma and Connor Reilly.  Ken will be greatly missed by all those who loved him and by friends who became family to him throughout the years.

Please join us in celebrating Ken’s life on Tuesday, July 14, at Saints Simon and Jude Church in West Chester, PA, at 10:30 am. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity that was near and dear to Ken’s heart.
