Lonny J. Pacana of Kennett Square passed away on Aug 22,2024 at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Pacana and Doris Gill Pacana as well as a brother Anthony. He is survived by his wife Aldeth Swift Pacana with whom he shared 34 years. Also his children LJ Pacana(Chris) of Gap, Michael Pacana(Patty) of Spring City and Cher Kent(Terry) of Gap, a sister Cindy Madrigale (Dave) of Frederick, MD, 5 grandaughters Emily, Kayla,Andrea,Lizzie and Rissa. 2 nephews ,several great grandchildren, Mike,Laura and Mia Soliday his adopted family from Gettysburg and a large family of in-laws. He was a proud Army Veteran having served in Germany during the Vietnam conflict. He loved to visit Ocean City Md.and Gettysburg Pa. He enjoyed drinking"necter of the God's" aka Miller Lite, reading civil war nonfiction, doing seek a word, watching Svengoolie on Sat. night, participating in events with the Sons of the Union Veterans and looking for militaria at flea markets and antique malls. He was a life member of the Polish American Citizens Club of Coatesville and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1091 of Ocean City. He was also a long time member of the Sons of the Union Veterans Bradbury Camp 149 of West Chester, the AmVets Post 172 of Fairfield,Pa., Gettysburg Fraternal Order of the Eagles Arie 1562, Swayne-Campbell-Testa VFW Post 5467 of Kennett Square and the American Legion Post 166 of Ocean City Md.. He was loved by many and will be missed.
Interment will take place on Friday September 20, 2024 at 12:30pm at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA 17003 with full Military Honors.
