Louis Capici Obituary

Louis S. Capici

1950 – 2025

Louis S. Capici, age 74, of Drexel Hill died August 28, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents the late Joseph F. and Helen L. (nee Masincupp) Capici. He is survived by his sister Patricia E. Cetrone and nieces Helena C Briggs, and Patricia C. Gibbs.

Lou was born in Darby, Pennsylvania and raised in Havertown. One of the most defining chapters of his life was his 32-year journey in sobriety. Through courage, humility, and grace, he not only transformed his own life but became a guiding light for many others seeking recovery. His story was one of redemption and service - a legacy that will continue to inspire long after his passing.

Among his most cherished relationships was the one he shared with his mother. For many years Lou lived with her, and in her final decade, he became her devoted caregiver. His love, patience, and dedication during those years were a testament to the strength of their bond.

A lifelong baseball fan, he found joy in the crack of the bat, the rhythm of the season, and the thrill of a close game. He especially loved cheering on the Phillies and the Yankees -two teams that brought him countless hours of excitement, debate, and camaraderie.

Lou was also deeply engaged in political discourse. He had a passion for spirited debate and a genuine interest in the future of his country. Over the years, he supported many candidates and causes, always guided by his values and belief in the power of informed citizenship. His conversations were thoughtful and lively.
