Manuel Rios

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Manuel “Boog” Rios on July 21, 2023. Born in Chester on March 29, 1979, he was the son Luis Manuel Rios and Marie Walls both of Chester, Pa. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Traci Lynn Rudolph of Kennett Square. 

Survivors include children: Sabreena Byrd, Seth Kristian Lefever and Anthony “Tony” Byrd who is expecting his first child.

Grandchildren: Isabella 8, Zoe 3 and AJ 6 months

Siblings: Patricia Walls, Agustin Garcia, Luis Rios and many dear friends and family. Boog also leaves behind his girlfriend, Krissy Dwyer and his treasured dog, Abigail Rios. 

We will remember and celebrate his resilience, strength and kindness. His empathy, warmth and compassion. His contagious smile and loyalty.  

Boog’s tough exterior, covered in tattoos housed a sensitive individual who cared deeply for friends and family. With struggles came a profound understanding and empathy for the suffering of others. We take comfort in knowing that he is rejoicing in heaven with family and friends. May your adventures continue, Boog. 

A Memorial Celebration will take place on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Kennett Square Missionary Baptist Church
