Margaret M. Farmar (nee O’Fee)"Peg"

 

Age 95, on July 9, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Francis E. Farmar. Loving mother of Frank X., James G. (Clare), Margaret Keil (the late Jim), Elizabeth A. Rodriguez, Susan A. McCaffrey, the late Christopher J. and David P. Farmar. Grandmother of James (Joanne), Alicia, Rita (Jake), Ryan, Grace, and Daniel. Sister of the late Joan Fitzpatrick. Also survived by daughter-in-law Marion Farmar, nieces Marita Fitzpatrick and Amy Monahan, and nephew, the late John Fitzpatrick. 

Peg attended Hallahan High School in Philadelphia and received a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Temple University. She was Choir Director at St. Cecilia Church and was the organist for many years at St. Edmond, St. Gabriel, and other South Philadelphia churches. Nothing brought Peg more joy than spending time with her family & their dogs, traveling with Frank, and playing the piano. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at 9:00A.M., followed by Funeral Mass at 10A.M. on Tuesday, July 15 at St. Monica Church, 17th and Ritner Streets, Philadelphia, PA. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Morris Animal Shelter, 1242 Lombard St., Philadelphia, PA 19147
