MARIE BRADLEY

1929 -2023

            Marie Bradley of West Chester, PA (formerly from Springfield, Delaware County, PA) died peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Philadelphia, Marie was raised in West Philadelphia by her mother, the late Winifred Barnett.  Marie was predeceased by her husband of nearly 38 years, Thomas Bradley, her grandson Liam Bradley and her son-in-law, Slade McLaughlin.  She is survived by her children: Thomas (Helene), Peter (Denise), Jonathan and Caroline McLaughlin (the late Slade), as well as ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

            After attending St. Francis De Sales parochial grade school, Marie graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls in 1947.  She was a long-time parishioner of St. Dorothy Church in Drexel Hill, PA.  Her late husband Tom was the love of her life; their time together was far too short.  Marie was a loving mother and doting grandmother.  In her later years she worked as a volunteer at Paoli Memorial Hospital.  Marie was a devoted friend to the many who knew her.

            Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated promptly at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at St. Dorothy Catholic Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 until 10:15 preceding the Mass on Thursday.  

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Delaware, 924 Old Harmony Road, Suite 201, Newark, DE 19713.
