Maureen (Kunisky) Fox

Maureen Fox (nee Kunisky), 88, of Norristown, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 3rd, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Minersville, PA, Maureen was the daughter of the late Cyrus A. Kunisky and Mary M. Kunisky (nee Burns). She was predeceased by her daughter Margaret Fox-Pearson and brother Thomas Kunisky.

Maureen is survived by her children: Gerald Fox (partner Michelle Bogosh); Maryann Fox; John Fox (wife Theresa Fox, nee Richard); Clare Graham-Kircher (nee Fox – husband Frederick Kircher); Kathleen Marks (nee Fox – husband Michael Marks, Sr.); and was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Maureen was a 1952 graduate of the former Branch Township High School in Llewellyn, PA and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Norristown, PA.

After she raised six children, Maureen had a 30-year career in the manufacturing industry as a purchase manager responsible for managing vendor relations.

Maureen was also an avid golfer and formed many friendships and memories on fairways along the east coast. She was a member of the Hole-in-One Club at Oyster Bay Golf Links in Sunset Beach, North Carolina. She enjoyed traveling, both domestically and internationally; playing cards; and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday October 10th, 2023. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM at Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 600 Hamilton St. Norristown, PA. Rev. Richard J. Smith, M.Div., will be the Celebrant. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, DeKalb Pike, East Norriton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
