Nancy B. Kelly of Media, PA. It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of our loving Mother and beloved wife Nancy Brennan Kelly. Nancy passed away at the age of 85 on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Nancy resided in Media, Pennsylvania and worked for Verizon for over twenty years. She formally lived in Yeadon, Springfield, Ocean City, NJ and Stuart Florida before finally residing in Media, PA. She was born to James and Anna Mae Brennan, and was predeceased by her brother Jimmy who tragically died at the age of 5 of a brain tumor. Nancy was raised on Samson Street in Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic HS in 1956 where she played the French horn in their orchestra. Nancy is survived by her husband Thomas of more than 65 years of marriage. Nancy and her husband met while working at the Atlantic refinery in 1957 and were married in 1958. She is survived by her six loving children: Nancy Quinn (Dennis), Maureen Ward (Dean), Thomas Kelly (Rosemarie), Patrick Kelly, Michael Kelly and Kathleen Kelly. She had twelve loving grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and she enjoyed life long friendships with her West Catholic classmates, Ocean City, NJ neighbors, and Stuart, FL neighbors. She enjoyed traveling, volunteering at Ocean City’s Music Pier concerts, the Ocean Court Coop board, and talking on the phone with her friends and grandchildren and cousins. Nancy was the kindest, most caring and loving wife, mother, cousin, grandmother and friend that anyone could ask for. Her phone would ring constantly at the end of each work day as her family and friends liked to call her on their way home from work. She was an excellent listener and always had words of empathy to help her family deal with life’s challenges. Nancy hosted many family dinners and holiday celebrations and never missed a chance to attend her children’s or grandchildren’s sporting events and school productions.
