Patrick A. Purcell

1960 – 2024 

   Patrick A. Purcell age 63 of Drexel Hill died suddenly February 7, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Magdalene “Maggie” Purcell (nee McNabb) and daughters, Georgia and Ginger Purcell. Son of Patrick J. and the late MaryAnn D. Purcell. Brother to Dennis (Leslie) Purcell, Michael (the late Karen) Purcell, Catherine (Edward) Stankiewicz, Terrence (Kristin) Purcell. He will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. 

   Patrick attended St. Alice School, Malvern Preparatory School and the University of Delaware.   Patrick had a long and distinguished basketball career having held school records, received numerous awards and was  inducted  into the  Malvern Hall of  Fame.   He was an avid sports fan and long-time member of Rolling Green Golf Club.

   Patrick was adoringly loved by family, friends and his community.  He showed incredible generosity and kindness to so many people.   He greatly appreciated the support of everyone during his  battle with cancer which he faced with a faithful, positive and courageous attitude.    

   Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 8:30-11:15am Friday, February 16th, 2024 at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where his Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30am.
