PATRICK GERALD (GERRY) and LORRAINE (nee McGreal) FINNERTY

Patrick Gerald ‘’Gerry’’ Finnerty on Nov. 9, 2021, age 80. Within 2 months of losing her husband of 60 years, Lorraine (nee McGreal) Finnerty passed away on Dec. 27, 2021, age 91, as she joined him and her three children in Heaven. Both died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Lifelong residents of South Philadelphia. Together they devoted their entire lives to their family and helping friends in need. Loving mother and father of the late Lorraine Capalbo, Bill Cairy and Tim Cairy. Survived by daughters-in-law Geri and Marie Cairy, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Lorraine is the daughter of the late Tim and Anna McGreal; sister of the late Joey (Roseanne) McGreal, Jackie (Marge) McGreal, and Nancy (Jim) Falls.

Gerry, born in Laragan, Shrule, Co Galway, Eire. Dear son of John Gerald and Bridie Finnerty; Brother of Barry and Billy Finnerty, and the late Nuala Cameron.

Relatives and friends are invited to their Visitation 9AM Friday February 18, 2022, St. Monica Church, 17th St. and Ritner St., Philadelphia, followed by Funeral Mass at 10AM.
