Paul D. Dooley, age 89, of West Chester and formerly of Wilmington Delaware and Drexel Hill Pennsylvania, died peacefully Saturday February 8, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife Trudy (nee Finnegan) Dooley, four cherished daughters, Tracy (Wayne Brinster) Dooley, Kathy (John) Davis, Alicia (Tim) Lain and Megan (Brian) Heistand. Also survived by eight grandchildren; Cassidy, Moira, Maddi, Bridget, Molly, Delaney, Maggie and Paul. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Regina (nee Ennis) Dooley, his brother Tom Dooley and sister Frances “Fran” Dooley.
He was born and raised in Philadelphia, a graduate of St. Joseph Prep, St. Joseph University and a Marine Veteran. He worked as a Claims Adjuster for GMAC Re in the insurance industry. Paul’s family and friends were his greatest joy. He enjoyed spending time at their second home in Ocean City where many wonderful memories were made with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. Paul enjoyed traveling, making several trips to Europe and he was proud to say he stayed in all 50 states.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing/visitation Thursday evening (February 13, 2025) 6-8pm at the Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 and Friday morning (February 14, 2025) 9-10:15 am at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where his Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment will be Private.
In lieu of flowers donations in Paul’s memory to St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 would be appreciated.
