Obituary for Richard B. Johnson
Richard B. Johnson, 75, of Oxford, PA, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2024. Born on July 25, 1949, to the late Ferd Johnson and Loraine B. Johnson, Richard was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, sibling, and friend.
Richard was a proud and hardworking man, dedicating over 50 years of his life to South Mill. His commitment to his job reflected his strong work ethic and dedication to his family. In his personal life, Richard was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed relaxing on the couch, listening to country music on TV, and spending time with his loved ones. His passion’s included grilling, cultivating his garden, and maintaining his home. Richard’s kindness and generosity knew no bounds that was well-known among his family and friends, and his 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was a cherished possession.
Richard is survived by his children: Richard Johnson (Maranda Johnson), Ronnie Johnson (Jamie Johnson), Ryan and Tracy Johnson-Mahala, “Pebbles” Jewel Johnson (Jason Stevens), Edward Johnson Hicks, and Carolyn Kilgore. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Linda Hill, Terry Johnson, and Norma Lawill.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Berchie Johnson, Donald Johnson, Barbara Johnson, Joyce Timmonds, and Ronnie Johnson.
Richard will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for his car, and his quiet yet impactful presence in the lives of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
