Richard J. Kearney, Jr.
1955 - 2024
The son of the late Richard Kearney Sr, and Nancy (Hamilton) Kearney. He is survived by his beloved wife Jean (Ziemke) Kearney, sisters Anne (Kearney) Spratt, Eileen (Kearney) Stewart, and Denise Kearney. He counted his many friends as his family.
"Richard", "Dick", "Dickie", "Karnak" was born and raised in Springfield PA. He attended St. Kevin, Archmere Academy, and Mount St Mary's College. He lived in West Chester for the last 40 years with his beloved Jean, and worked as an investment advisor for Merrill Lynch, Legg Mason, and Janney. Dick was an active member of Penn Oaks Golf Club. Following retirement, his greatest joy was coaching St. Agnes boys' basketball and baseball teams with his friends. He was known by family and friends for his Irish charm and wit, and was an avid golfer, all-around sports fan, and great storyteller.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a Visitation 9- 10:45am Thursday, December 19, 2024 at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, 19026, where his Funeral Mass will follow at 11am. Interment will be Private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
