1955 – 2025

   Richard Kurimchak, age 69, of Havertown died peacefully March 29th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Lorraine (nee Kuzara ) Kurimchak.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years Catherine (nee Drury) Kurimchak, daughter Alison and sons Steven (Melanie) and Jeffrey, and by brothers-in-law James (Cathy) and Michael Drury and 2 grandchildren.

    Rich was born in the Juniata Park neighborhood in Philadelphia and graduated from Frankford High School. He attended the Germantown Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and completed his medical imaging education in 1976 where he was recognized with the Outstanding Student award at graduation.  He earned his Associate in Science degree at Hahnemann Medical College of Allied Health Sciences in 1979.

     Rich was employed as a registered radiologic technologist at Germantown Hospital and later at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital. He was certified through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  He served his profession as President of the Philadelphia Society of Radiologic Technologists from 1984-1985 and as Board Chair from 1985-1988.  Rich loved his job in Radiology and was a proud member of the healthcare team.

     Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, April 3, 2025 beginning at 9 am until 10:15 am at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026 where his Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
