Richard Foley Obituary

Richard T. Foley, Jr.

"Rich"

1976 - 2022

Richard T. Foley, Jr. (Rich) suddenly passed in his sleep from heart failure on January 2, 2022.  He was predeceased by his father, Richard Sr.  He is survived by his mother, Janet Smith and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are grieving due to Rich having a genuine loving commitment to family.

Rich was a caring, sincere, and gentle man.  He was born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and lived and worked in Havertown and Aston, Pennsylvania until his move to Dover, Delaware in 2014.  He was a skilled residential and commercial painter for the Dover Air Force Base, as well as a home remodeler.  All who he worked with have considered him as one of the most decent persons they had ever known.  He is remembered for his attention to detail, always expecting his finished product to be the best it could be.

As a child he loved his Hot Wheels, classic cars and making car models and that love continued into his adult life and his cherished possession, a 1970 Chevelle Super Sport.  His attention to detail made it an award-winning mint condition automobile which won many trophies in Classic Car rallies in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.

Many are saddened by the loss of this dearly loved son, relative and friend of everyone.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral mass on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St. Dorothy’s Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA.  Visitation will be in the church from 9:30 until 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass.   Interment will be private.
