Richard Tecco, age 81, of Newtown Square, formerly of 49th Street in West Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2024 surrounded by his wife and children.
He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Mary Tecco and his brother Victor Tecco. He is survived by his loving wife Theresa of 56 years, his children Richard Jr. (Sue) Tecco, Dominique, Erica (Anthony) D’Alessandro, and Jessica (Michael) Abbatiello. He was a proud and doting “Pop” to Grandchildren Ryan, Nicole (Brian) Meagher, Richie, Emily, PJ, Santino, Ella, Ava, Lucia, Lola, Mia, Nina and Great Grandsons Vincent, Brian, Nate, Dean, and his beloved bulldog, Major. Richie was also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Richie had a big heart and always put his family first. He loved spending time with his friends and loved ones. He was a terrific storyteller and knew a lot a bit about everything. He enjoyed time spent at his home in Wildwood Crest, NJ and trips to Italy. To know him was to love him. He will truly be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, September 5, 2024, 9 am to 10:15 am at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 where his Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Interment following at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richie’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis TN 38148 are appreciated.
