Therese Elizabeth (Robinson) Ashworth, “Tray” age 95, of Drexel Hill, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 11, 2023. She was born in Philadelphia to the late John and Mary Robinson. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Ashworth, her daughter Margaret Rydesky, her sisters, Sr. Mary Rita Robinson, RSM and Sr. Catherine Agnes Robinson, IHM, her brothers, John (Clare) Robinson and Joseph Robinson.
Tray is survived by her children, Therese (Bob) Hartnett, Kit (Bud) Tosti, Rita (Mike) Pearson, Anne (Duke) Callahan, Mary Jo (Scott) McClelland, Rich (Katie) Ashworth, her son-in-law, Joseph Rydesky, her sister-in-law, Jane Robinson, 23 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Tray lived every day of her life grounded in faith, generosity, love and genuine kindness. She lived her faith humbly and authentically, quietly inspiring her family and friends. Tray often repeated the phrase, “I have had a wonderful life and I hope you all have the same.” She knew that she was blessed by God, and so too are those who were privileged to share in her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, December 18th from 9:00-10:15 a.m. at Saint Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A live-stream link for Tray's funeral mass via Saint Dorothy Parish YouTube is below.
