1937 – 2022

     Veronica M. Donato (nee Mathis), age 84, of Drexel Hill, died June 22, 2022 surrounded by  loving family. Veronica is survived by her beloved husband of sixty years Frank, children: Christine Donato and Stephen (Tina) Donato, and grandchildren: Regina Donato, Nicole Donato, and Henry Ferlanie. Also surviving is her brother Allen Mathis and many loving nieces and nephews.

     Veronica was born in Philadelphia. After graduating from High School, she attended Pierce Business School in Philadelphia. She then began her career in the Insurance Industry working her way up to Office Administrator for the Henry Stewart Company in Radnor, Pennsylvania. 

      Veronica enjoyed writing, which included writing short stories, poetry, and daily journals. She also loved to travel, play board games, read, discuss current events, discuss philosophy, and watch baseball. 

     Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Sunday evening 7-9 pm and Monday morning 11-12 pm at the Ruffenach Funeral Home 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel hill, Pennsylvania 19026. Her Funeral Mass will be Monday 12:30pm at  St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026.  Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. 

     In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis TN 36101-9908 would be appreciated.
